Last night, my new boss and 2 other female creatives on her team all went out for drinks after work. It was an opportunity to get to know each other more personally, talk about what sorts of changes we’d like to see in our department and also talk about being a minority…women in the creative department of an ad agency. Did you know that only 3% of North American Creative Directors are women? THREE percent.

And did you also know that in a study, researchers asked 5,000 American elementary school-aged children to draw a picture of a scientist and only 28 drew a female scientist?
