Oh, Jessica Hische. You keep making me fall in love with you. I can’t help it. Your beautiful line of iPhone cases for Uncommon is just divine; but then again, I expect nothing short of perfection when it comes to your gorgeous typefaces and beautiful designs. I have a design crush on you in a very real, very heartbreaking way. Keep up the amazing work. I love you.

Simon Walker is a Texas-based typography ninja. Just look at some of his hand-lettering work. Totally drooling over here…

LOVING these hand-painted antique hand saws by Japanese artist Kenji Nakayama. Mechanical engineer turned artist, Kenji does pinstriping, gilded lettering and multi-layered stencil paintings. I want to buy all of them and hang them all over my house. Does that sound insane? DON’T CARE.

This Friday morning I am swooning over UK designer Tomas Toleikis. I love the type mixed with the saturated images. I wish the sayings weren’t SO “hang in there little kitty” and had a bit more edge. But…you can’t be perfect, right? But you CAN buy these lovelies here, if you’re feeling arty and your walls are feeling depressed.

Annie Vought is an Oakland, CA native that has handwritten and hand-cut a series based on her personal writings. It’s quite amazing how her craftsmanship conjures the discipline within each negative space, surrounding every single character. Enjoy the details.

This beautiful type, and beautiful quote, is hanging on a pillar located at the Obama campaign’s HQ.
Preach on, Obama. Preach on.

My two favorite things in the whole world have finally come together: typography and chocolate.

The creative folks at Dynamo created beautiful homemade chocolate bars for the holidays featuring stunning, inspiring type with the help of Montréal’s chocolatier Suite 88. Aren’t they lovely (and delicious) looking????

Too bad this HOT poster is $95. I am completely obsessed. The now iconic quote debuted in a 1997 television commercial for Apple Computer. <3 <3 <3

I’m digging this print by NeighborhoodStudio with the lyrics of “Beat It” on it. My (soon-to-be) nephew, Andrew would LOVE it.
